Do you find yourself in a tizzy about what Christmas cookies to make next, instead of reflecting on the true meaning of the holidays? After conversations in the office all week about gift struggles, we straightened out one snowy Saturday to do something truly important.
Greeley’s Linn Grove Cemetery participated in the annual Wreaths Across America on December 12th, where community members placed wreaths at a Veteran’s gravesite as part of a national day of remembrance.
One of our agents Marlene (pictured below) went to the ceremony along with Grandpa Clyde, a Navy vet from 1960-64. Together they helped place 600 wreaths at graves and along the Bell Tower of the cemetery. Paying respects to the veterans of our community and our history is so important, and we thank Northeastern Colorado Heritage League for sponsoring the event.
Do not let the hectic holidays take away from what is important: send volunteer opportunities you find our way and we WILL join you!
