Are You Ready to Battle Your Weeds for the Season?
Join Weld County Weed and the West Greeley Conservation District as we cover management and identification of annual weeds and several noxious weeds. This is a great chance to familiarize yourself or refresh your knowledge on problem weeds in our area.
Preparing for your season of weed control

Walking Weed Tour

- Poudre River Ranch Trail 71 St
- Walk along the Poudre River Trail and get the chance to identify and discuss lots of the same weeds you are managing on your property.
- “Stump the Expert” by bringing plants that have been bugging you, or that you need help with identifying!

Spring Tree and Shrub Pruning
Come learn correct pruning techniques with us at Houston Gardens! Improper pruning methods will weaken your plants, leaving them susceptible to disease and insects. Bring your pruning shears, as you will have the opportunity to practice on the trees at Houston Gardens.

Water Management Workshop
This hands-on workshop will be discussing the findings and applications of research on Technologies for monitoring crop water use: full to deficit irrigation.
Join Researchers Dr. Jose Chavez, Joel Schneekloth, Dr. Andales and Dr. Elhaddad to discuss their findings and applications for Alternative Agricultural Water Transfer Methods: Deficit Irrigation Monitoring.
